Tab Trade - The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
That last detail is relevant. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys went the other way. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For something that launched in March 2026, the breadth is not narrow.
What You Trade On
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Plenty of traders find it more natural after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but requires the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That would round things out when it lands.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for beginners.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? If you scalp, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.
Combine that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Now, the part that matters. Tab Trade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. It should inform how you think about it.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that works is your call.
Welcome Offer
Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You deposit, they credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before you commit.
